T.O.C. Ltd (Tools of Coventry) were established in 1939 and their first commission, apparently, was to make harnesses for parachutes. Since those early wartime days the company, under the founding Simmons family have vastly developed their range of metal based product whilst maintaining the ethos and standards of traditional British manufacturing. In the early 1970’s they began supplying the MoD with the iconic folding (Land Rover) chair and have been doing so ever since. They have added a full scope of military field equipment to their portfolio including tables, portable offices and mess tins. In recent years they have supplied the bicycle and motorcycle trade with frames, working with brands such as Pashley. T.O.C remain in the hands of the 2nd and 3rd generation of the Simmons family – John and Dan.
